Questions, bugs, or an idea for the game — email is the fastest way to reach me. I read every message personally.
To help me help you faster, please mention your device (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro), your iOS version, and the app version from the App Store listing.
Frequently asked
The quick answers to almost everything people write in about.
How do I play?
Slide your thumb anywhere on the screen to steer the paddle. That is the whole control scheme — there are no buttons and no tutorial to sit through. Keep the ball alive, clear the wall, move to the next level.
Why won't the game rotate to portrait?
Brick Demolition is landscape-only by design, on both iPhone and iPad. The playfield is wider than it is tall, so portrait would either crop the wall or shrink everything to a sliver. Rotate your device to either landscape orientation and it will follow.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. The entire game runs offline — levels, scoring, high scores and all. A connection is only used if you choose to use Game Center leaderboards and achievements, which are completely optional.
My score didn't appear on the leaderboard.
Check that you are signed in to Game Center: open the Settings app, tap Game Center, and confirm you are signed in with your Apple Account. The game posts a score only when a run finishes, so a game still in progress won't show yet.
If you played offline, that run's score is not posted retroactively — only runs finished while signed in and connected reach the board. Your local high score on the home screen is always kept regardless.
Do I have to use Game Center?
Not at all. Declining the sign-in prompt loses you nothing: every level, mode and feature works exactly the same, and the game keeps your personal best on the device. Game Center only adds the global board and achievements on top.
An achievement is showing partial progress I didn't earn.
That's intended. Progress is reported after every finished run, not only when you complete an achievement — so reaching Level 12 will show "Condemned" (Level 25) part-filled rather than locked. Progress only ever moves forward; a weaker run never reduces it.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
Neither. Brick Demolition is a single paid download with no advertising, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no analytics of any kind. What you buy is the whole game.
I bought this before — do I have to pay again?
No. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account permanently. Re-download it at no charge from the App Store, or from the Purchased list in your account. Updates are free forever.
My high score disappeared.
The high score is stored on the device itself, not in the cloud, so deleting the app or moving to a new device clears it. If you use Game Center your posted scores stay on the leaderboard regardless of which device you play on.
How do I turn the sound or music off?
Use your device's volume buttons or the silent switch — the game respects both. There is no in-app audio toggle at the moment. If that would be useful to you, email me; requests genuinely do shape what gets built next.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 17.6 or later. The game is universal, so one purchase covers both.
I found a bug, or the game crashed.
Please email me with your device model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened — the level number and whether a dragon or falcon was on screen are especially useful. Bug reports get priority over everything else in my inbox.
Privacy policy
Short version: Brick Demolition collects nothing about you, sends nothing anywhere, and contains no third-party code. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
Information the app collects
None. Brick Demolition does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal information. There is no account to create, no sign-up, no email capture, and no profiling of any kind.
Information stored on your device
The app saves your best score and the furthest level you have reached in the device's standard local storage, so the home screen can show your record. This data never leaves your device, is not readable by anyone else, and is deleted when you delete the app.
Game Center
If you choose to use Game Center, your score and achievement progress are sent to Apple's Game Center service so they can appear on the leaderboard. This is Apple's service, operated by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and it is entirely optional — the game is fully playable without it. The developer receives no personal information about you through Game Center: your Game Center nickname and scores are handled by Apple, not collected or stored by this app or its developer.
Third-party services
There are none. The app contains no advertising networks, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no social media integrations, and no third-party frameworks or libraries whatsoever. It is built entirely on Apple's own frameworks.
Children
Brick Demolition is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Any change that affects what data the app handles will also be described in the App Store release notes for that version.
